That also means that the DLC will not be available on Stadia at this time. The bad news is that this will be the "Fabius Maximus" update. It will release in the second half of next week. I have some good news and some bad news. The good news is that I have a more precise estimate for the next Stadia Patch. We now expect the patch to release in late January. Secondly, this issue has turned out more problematic than estimated when first discovered, so we did not manage to fi it for an early January patch, either. Unfortunately, this was found at such short notice that our community team was no longer at the office to react. We discovered a major issue at such short notice that we could not hope to fix it in time for a release before the holidays. We understand that you may feel frustrated with these news, but we prefer to take extra time to deliver a quality patch for Stadia.įirstly, let me apologize for not keeping you up to date.Īs you may have noticed, the planned patch did not release before the holidays. It should contain all future patches released until then. Unfortunately, we're sorry to say that after this patch the next Stadia patch will not arrive until around April. We are trying to have it ready for next week, but it could take up to a few weeks. Therefore we could not release the patch yet. We had intended to release the Fabius Maximus Update and its follow-up patch on Stadia this week, and had started the certification process, but a major issue was encountered. I hope we will find solutions to let the Stadia players join these events in the future. Since this update will arrive so much later than on PC, unfortunately you will not be able to participate in this event for now. Our current pipeline is not well-suited to delivering a quick port to Stadia, as we did not have experienced working with Stadia before Humankind. We're also aiming to bring you the Fabius Maximus update in late November, though it may also be early December if we run into further issues. According to what I was told, the 1.0.3.253 patch was released on Stadia on the 20th of October. Apparently, the patch went live sooner than we expected and was in fact already available when I posted the previous reply. Nevertheless, I want to assure you that even if we may not have notable news to share with you, we are always keeping an eye on all parts of the community. Regarding the update that will arrive on PC on the 28th, I unfortunately haven't received any information yet.Īs far as our silence is concerned: I am sorry not being able to give you news about Stadia more often but we bring you information as soon as we have it. 1.0.3.253 went to certification, and should release this week, though I can't give you a specific day. Sorry I did not have any news for you sooner. Unfortunately, patches after that will likely still be later and less frequent compared to the PC version, as we work with our partners to ensure the best quality port of these patches rather than risking a bad patch. We're working to port the latest PC patch to Stadia, but I do not have an estimate on when it will be ready. An external studio is working with us on the Stadia version, and their expertise will help us ensure that Stadia patches will work as intended.Īfter talking to the producers to confirm which patch version was released on Stadia, I can now tell you that yesterday's patch is the equivalent of Patch 1.0.2.139 on PC, plus some additional improvements for the touch controls. Stadia patches are on their way, though no ETA on them quite yet. ![]() The next patch will not come earlier than April 2022, but it should include all missing patches on Stadia. The next patch will be the week of January 17th, and it will not include the first DLC for humankind. A catastrophic problem is preventing them from updating the game. ![]() The tl dr is: An independent studio handles the port of humankind on Stadia. I'm posting this as an aggregation because this is all occuring on a single non-official forum post over on the amplitude forums, and not broadcasted anywhere. The following is all communications between Amplitude and Stadia users regarding Stadia support. ![]()
